All of a Sudden, Everyone's a Therapist

We're all just here for the tea, so every social media post you make will bring in new people into your life, no matter how big or tiny it is. Since it is common knowledge that everything posted online will remain there forever. Furthermore, everyone with an internet connection is suddenly an authority in some field, regardless of whether or not they actually have any relevant training in that area. We'll just say that pride makes people vulnerable to being easily offended and duped.

While Reddit may be helpful in offering support and advice from other users, it should not be used as a replacement for professional therapy. Reddit is better used as a place to find resources to help with mental health issues, or to ask questions that can be answered by other users. Additionally, many Reddit communities are specifically designed to provide a safe space for those seeking help or advice related to mental health. Ultimately, it is important to remember that it is best to seek professional help if you are experiencing mental health issues.

Why did I bring up Reddit? For one thing, I've noticed that every single video I've watched on TikTok so far has some connection to the website Reddit. Infuriating videos with "part one," "part two," and "part three" are the worst, because we need the full update immediately. Reddit users have to do some sleuthing to track down the original post because these accounts never credit the OP in the video description. To put it bluntly, it's frustrating.

Why do so many Reddit users rely on the opinions of total strangers? It's possible that Reddit users are more prone to seek help from complete strangers on the internet rather than from trained professionals because it's easier to access, more anonymous, and often cheaper. In addition, the anonymity of the web and the kindness of complete strangers provide many with much-needed solace and friendship. It's reasonable that some internet users would rather heed the counsel of complete strangers than professionals.

Is it more common for people on reddit to offer cynical advice rather than constructive problem-solving? Because of this, it is possible for reddit users to grow jaded, making it more challenging to find useful advice. But many Reddit users are happy to help out others by sharing advice and insights gained from their own Reddit experiences. Don't let your poor experiences on reddit deter you from posting again.

So, why am I bringing this up that has nothing to do with web & graphic design business? To begin with, I feel obligated to contribute in some way, what with my background in Psychological Anthropology and Human Behavior and all. I suppose there are times when I miss being the one to aid others in need. My lack of tact, however, can make me come across as insensitive at times.

So, why did I blog about this today of all days? This is because it keeps popping up in my news feed across all of my other social media sites. Everyone has issues, and sometimes it helps to look for approval somewhere outside of the typical social circles. Many people on Reddit seem to need guidance on how to recover from traumatic experiences like parental separation, infidelity, and the AITA series. All people can relate to at least one of these teas. It's not uncommon for people to be TA without realizing it until they receive a barrage of backlash. As an example, the gym fitness videos about certain creators feeling sexual discomfort, only to learn that the creators have an OnlyFans account and mocking innocent people as creeps. 

In a time when many individuals can't afford therapy, Reddit has become a community where they may go anonymously for support. Strangers online who fancy themselves gurus or coaches are giving people advice on how to improve the talents they themselves learned from a variety of internet sources. The root of a problem can be investigated more thoroughly by those with specialized skills.

I'm not suggesting that all coaches are incompetent, but suppose they fail to identify any underlying causes for your behavior. We need to seek therapy now since things have gotten out of hand. Numerous people rely heavily on therapy, and it can be highly beneficial for those who need it. A person's mental health, ability to handle difficult situations, and insight into who they are can all benefit from therapy. The therapeutic process looks different for everyone, and many people could gain from an outside perspective.

What are the pros and cons of Reddit therapy? Reddit's advantages include its usefulness as a place to find news, information, and even entertainment.
